Job Summary
The Arc of Southwest Georgia is seeking a dynamic, energetic, and results-driven Marketing and Fundraising Specialist to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about nonprofit work, thrives on building relationships, and is eager to increase year-round donations and community engagement. Reporting to the Director of Development and Communications, this person will play a key role in cultivating donor relationships, supporting events, and implementing effective fundraising and marketing strategies to support our mission.
Key Responsibilities
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with current and prospective donors through meetings, calls, and outreach.
- Proactively seek out and secure new donors, corporate sponsors, and in-kind contributions.
- Research donor prospects and develop customized strategies for outreach and solicitation.
- Prepare and distribute all donor acknowledgments and tax letters in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate donor records and track all donations, sponsorships, and contributions.
- Support the planning, promotion, and execution of fundraising events in collaboration with the Director of Development and Communications.
- Provide assistance with event logistics, including mail lists, auction items, marketing materials, and event site management.
- Build and nurture relationships with local businesses, civic groups, and organizations to secure sponsorships and support.
- Assist with the implementation of cost-effective marketing and outreach strategies using both print and digital media.
- Monitor, evaluate, and report on fundraising performance; adapt strategies to ensure goals are met or exceeded.
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends as needed for events, donor engagement or fundraisers.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, nonprofit management, or related field OR equivalent relevant experience.
- Experience in business development, fundraising, sales, or nonprofit work preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with CRM systems is a plus.
- Nonprofit or community engagement experience is a strong plus.

This is an hourly position plus bonuses and commissions.
